Hi, my name is JM Ferreras, and I am one of the candidates for this year’s edition of Miss Gay Metro San Jose!

This pageant promotes the beauty and diversity of the LGBTQIA+ community in Metro San Jose.

I am an advocate for mental health awareness. As someone who has experienced anxiety and depression, I promised myself that part of my healing process would be to spread awareness about mental health, and share my own battling stories in hopes that it might inspire those who are silently battling their own.

I am committed to raising awareness about mental health and to destigmatizing the conversation around it. I believe that we need to create a more open and accepting society where people feel comfortable talking about their mental health struggles.

I believe that Transfans will be a platform and an avenue for me to spread awareness about mental health by sharing my stories. By working together, we can create a more inclusive and supportive community and space for everyone.
